Beachside Bliss and City Reflections: From Cannon Beach to Portland | 50 at 60 – Episode #7

Is there anything better that starting off the day at the beach? Sure, as long as the day includes a scenic drive through Oregon, a little self reflection of some previous travel, and a bit of cheese!

Had a lot of fun putting this one together. Was a great day filled with a lot of travel. It builds up to an ending that sets the tone for what I will be challenged with the next few days in Portland!

In Episode #7 of my 50 at 60 journey, I start the day with a peaceful morning along the beach near Haystack Rock at Cannon Beach, capturing sightings of puffins and bald eagles. Explore the charming beach town with me as I wait for low tide to discover the tide pools, despite the crowds and protective ropes. Reminisce with me as I share images from previous, quieter trips down the coast. My adventure continues as I travel to Portland, making a fun stop at the Tillamook Cheese Creamery to sample some delicious cheese. I end the day at a hotel in Portland, reflecting on the city’s current state with a mix of weariness and caution.
