Well, here we are …. the site is live! I guess there is no turning back now. Nothing like announcing to the entire world that you plan to visit every state in your country in one year. A brief sampling it will be at best, but a self created bucket list that I look forward to getting underway this year 🙂
I have decided to officially begin my plan of visiting all 50 states in one year, beginning on my 60th birthday. As luck would have it, during that month of May, Matt’s TravelCon is going to be held again this year, and it’s going to be in Oregon! Seems like a great way to start to get excited about travel again and meet a few other nomadic minded folks as I begin my series of journey’s. With the show ticket in hand, it looks like I might be getting started with a couple of states out West since I will be out there. More on that soon.
This is getting real now 🙂
In other news, the site here is officially live now and if you are here, thanks for stopping by!. I had a lot of fun with yesterdays post and I think it was a nice one to kick this thing off. More cat posts to come, I am sure!
So as we get going this month, I have a series of posts in the que that are loaded up and will be released over the next 25 days. This should start on Monday the 5th. I really had fun creating these! Twice a day, these posts will be going live at 1PM and 6PM. Each one is of a state, starting first with Alabama, and then alphabetically until we have completed the entire list of 50. Each post is filled with some great locations, scenic drives, small towns, and beautiful images, as well as a pretty cool collage that in and of itself is fun to explore. I hope that they inspire you to go out and explore (as they did for me) this beautiful country we call the USA!
Before that begins next week, I will post a couple more times since we are live! (I can’t believe I actually have this site up!)
So it addition to those deeper posts coming out with their longer lists of “must see’s”, I also wanted to continue, to perhaps START a series here based on a previous post I did. A resource if you were thinking about just quickly dipping your toes into a state, for like say … 36 hours. I guess we will call this the “36 hour” series. Short bite sized itineraries, with the photographer in mind. I’ll share the next one in that series of, you guessed it, Oregon … in tomorrows post. See you then!
